What is BrookLynk?
BrookLynk is a youth employment program that connects young people in Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park with the job skills, professional experience, and social capital they need to successfully develop their pathway to college and career.
Looking for a great summer opportunity to advance your work experience in a meaningful way? Young people between the ages of 16-21 who attend Get Ready! and complete a mock interview are invited to apply for a paid summer internship.
Internships are an amazing opportunity to gain work experience, essential job skills, and to build a professional network. Your experience as an intern can help propel you forward and help you develop your pathway to college and career.
Looking to land a job this summer, but don't know how, or need to get your skills up? We can help! BrookLynk provides training that prepares young people ages 14-21 with the skills they need to successfully land a job and to navigate the work environment.
During training you'll learn how to build a resume and how interview so that you can land the job you want, and you'll also learn key skills like professional communication, workplace ethics, and networking.
Who is Eligible for BrookLynk
BrookLynk is open to young people between the ages of 14-21 (by June 1, 2018)who live or attend school in Brooklyn Center or Brooklyn Park and face a barrier to employment. Also, to be eligible for BrookLynk, young people can not have been previously or currently enrolled in college (PSEO or concurrent enrollment is okay).
