About our BioTech Careers Program

A program created to connect individuals 18+ to in-demand, high-wage training and employment opportunities in the biotech and advanced manufacturing sectors, with a specific focus on pathways leading to employment within Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center BioTech Innovation District and other local manufacturing companies.

The Biotech Manufacturing pathway is a year-round career pipeline program for job seekers 18+ who live or attend school in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, and North Minneapolis. This program is coordinated by Workforce Development Career Pathways.

Free Customized

Training

Participants will gain foundational knowledge of workplace expectations and cleanroom culture while building essential work readiness and financial literacy skills. The program also provides hands-on, entry-level training in lab safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), CNC fundamentals, and quality control documentation, preparing participants for careers in biotech and advanced manufacturing.

Job Placement and Support

Participants receive personalized job placement assistance, including connections to hiring employers, access to local job opportunities, resume and interview preparation, application support, and ongoing career coaching. Our goal is to help participants successfully transition from training into employment in biotech, advanced manufacturing, and related industries.

$1000 Stipend

Join our Biotech Training Program and gain valuable industry skills, workplace readiness training, and hands-on technical knowledge. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a $1,000 stipend while preparing for employment opportunities in the growing biotechnology field.

 

Program Eligibility:

 · Age 18 +

· High School Diploma, GED or higher education related to the field

· Resident or student in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center or North Minneapolis

· Must demonstrate one or more barriers to employment.
