About our BioTech Manufacturing Program
The BioTech Manufacturing pathway is a year-round career pipeline program for job seekers 18+ who live or attend school in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, and North Minneapolis. This program is coordinated by Workforce Development Career Pathways.
Program Eligibility:
· Age 18 +
· High School Diploma, GED or higher education related to the field
· Resident or student in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center or North Minneapolis
· Must demonstrate one or more barriers to employment
Program Structure
Participants will be enrolled in customized training with Hennepin Technical College for six weeks where they will be trained in small equipment training, OSHA 10, and receive support services in receiving their driver’s licenses.
Upon completion of the training, they will be referred to either seasonal employment with the Public Works Department of either City of Brooklyn Park or Brooklyn Center where they will start with $20 hourly pay.
Additional training resources are available when you register and participate in the constructions and trades program which includes, but is not limited to; Construction Training offered through Hennepin County and the Building Strong Communities Program
